  • LOWE & GOMEZ TAKE McCLURE BY STORM
    Saturday, January 6, 2001, La Grange, CA....
    The tournament was over as soon as Pro Robin Lowe, of Denair, CA, set the hook on his monster 11.06 lb. black bass. Little did he know that would be the only fish needed to win the Nor-Cal Bass Pro-Am on Lake McClure.

  • VALDEZ & LONG TAKE MELONES TITLE WITH 11.46 LBS
    Saturday, February 10, 2001, Angels Camp, CA....
    The second Pro-Am event of the 2001 season took place at New Melones under harsh conditions. Wind and rain welcomed the 87 anglers that showed up to fish the tournament. 

  • EDWARDS & STANFORD TAKE NOR-CAL OPEN TEAM TITLE ON DON PEDRO
    Sunday, March 11, 2001, Lake Don Pedro, CA....
    Nor-Cal’s first open team of 2001 took place under ideal weather conditions. After a week of temperatures that reached the mid to high 60’s, the expectations of the 88 anglers that were competing in the event were very high.

  • LONGTON & HARDRICK SIGHT FISH THEIR WAY TO DON PEDRO TITLE
    Saturday, March 24, 2001, Lake Don Pedro, CA....
    The third stop on our Pro-Am tournament trail took place under warm spring conditions and a wide-open bite at Don Pedro. With nearly $8,000 in prize money up for grabs, the eighty-six tournament anglers arrived anticipating the annual migration of bass to the spawning areas of the lake, and they would not be disappointed.

  • AWESOME 34.60 LB. 6 FISH LIMIT TAKES CLEAR LAKE TITLE
    Saturday, April 21, 2001, Lakeport, CA....
    April 21st marked the return for Nor-Cal Bass to Clear Lake. After a week of unstable weather and a major front that had just moved through on Friday, many of the anglers wondered what the fish would be doing.

  • PIMENTEL & HARTUNG TAKE 1ST ANNUAL BOATS UNLIMITED OPEN TEAM AT CLEAR LAKE
    May 12 & 13, 2001, Lakeport, CA....
    Although the turnout was light on this Mother’s Day weekend it was still another fantastic event put on by the folks at Boats Unlimited.

  • LONGTON & RAINS TAKE DELTA TITLE WITH 21.18 LBS   
    Saturday, May 19, 2001, Oakley, CA....
    The 5th stop on our 2001 Pro-Am Tournament Trail took place on the California Delta. The event launched out of Big Break Marina and was hosted by the Hook, Line & Sinker Bait Shop. 

  • 13.24 LB. KICKER LEADS GENE & JEFF MOSS TO NOR-CAL BASS NIGHT OPEN TITLE   
    Sunday, June 3, 2001, La Grange, CA....
    The Nor-Cal Bass annual open team night tournament brought together 63 teams from as far away as Missouri. Weather conditions had changed drastically during the week as the high during midweek was 105, but by the weekend daytime temperatures were in the low 80’s.

  • RICK & JEANNIE BELLAR TAKE NOR-CAL MIX TEAM TITLE
    Saturday, June 16, 2001, Lake Don Pedro, CA
    .... Just like clock work the first 100-degree weekend of the year fell on the Nor-Cal Bass Mix Team event at Don Pedro. The warm weather made the DFG rule requiring 6-hour events after June 15th a welcome relief.

  • MITCHELL & HAYES BATTLE THEIR WAY TO VICTORY IN FINAL NOR-CAL EVENT OF 2001
    Saturday, September 29, 2001 Stockton, CA....
    The 6th and final tournament of 2001 took place on the California Delta. The event launched out of Ladd’s Marina in Stockton, CA. Sixty-seven anglers came out to compete for the more then $6,000 in prize money to be awarded at the end of the day. Also at stake would be the 2001 Pro and Am anglers of the year along with qualification into this years Tournament of Champions.

  • CARNEY & HANDY TAKE 2001 NOR-CAL TOC TITLE
    Sunday, October 28,2001 B&W Resort, Rio Vista, CA ....
    The 2001 Nor-Cal Bass Tournament of Champions took place this weekend on the California Delta. B&W Resort was the host facility for this 2-day event. After a season of tough competition the top 20 pro and amateur anglers were excited to be at Saturday mornings check-in. The qualifiers would be competing for nearly $11,000 in prize money at this no entry fee year-end event.
